Lessons and Fees

Lessons Rate

30-minute lesson: US$ 45
45-minute lesson: US$ 60
60-minute lesson: US$ 80

Monthly Tuition

Students are billed monthly, based on the total number of lessons scheduled for that month.
Payment is typically due at the first lesson of each month.
Lessons are scheduled weekly, at a consistent day and time.
Holidays that observed by the teacher are not billed.

Recitals and Competitions

Participation in recitals and competitions is optional.
Fees associated with competitions, including registration and entry costs, are not included in monthly tuition.
Students may choose to perform in community or external events at their own discretion.
Participation offers experience, motivation, and performance growth, but is separate from regular lessons.

Cancellation & Make-Up Policy

A minimum of 24-hour notice is required to be eligible for a make-up lesson.
Same-day cancellations or no-shows will be charged in full with no make-up offered.
Make-up lessons must be completed within the same month (or the next available slot, depending on availability).
Lessons canceled by the teacher will always be rescheduled or credited.

Withdrawal Policy

A 30-day written notice (email is fine) is required to discontinue lessons.
Tuition remains due for all lessons that fall within the 30-day notice period, whether or not the student attends.
Failure to attend scheduled lessons during the notice period does not reduce or refund tuition owed.

Inclement Weather Policy

The studio does not automatically follow Portland Public Schools or Beaverton school closures.
Lessons will continue as scheduled unless the teacher determines that travel is unsafe.
If weather conditions make driving risky, the lesson may be held online (via Zoom/FaceTime) instead of in-person.
If the teacher cancels due to weather, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited.
